Logan Woman's Father Killed In Rt. 93 Crash
One man died and three were hurt in a head on collision on Route 93 six miles north of McArthur at 5 15 p m Thursday. Michael E Kessler 59 of McArthur was pronounced dead on arrival at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. His son Walter 33 of Lancaster was in good condition after surgery for scalp lacerations knee and arm injuries and a dislocated hip. Also injured were James K Downard 31 of Bremen treated for chin and mouth injuries and his passenger Ernie Knapp 18 of Lancaster Route 2 treated for forehead cuts and an arm injury. The southbound Kessler auto tried to turn left into a service station and hit the oncoming Downard pickup in the northbound lane. Both cars were demolished and the crash remains under investigation. Michael E Kessler born in Somerset was a self employed farmer and is survived by his wife Garnet his son Walter and daughter Sandra K Kessler. He had five brothers. Continued on Page 2.

Rock Singer Morrison Dies in Paris
Paris AP report states Jim Morrison lead singer of The Doors died in Paris last Saturday and was buried at Pere Lachaise. Manager William Siddons said Morrison died peacefully of natural causes at 27. His widow Pamela Morrison and Siddons attended the funeral in Los Angeles.
