Death claims former Perry County banker
George L. Rodgers 72 retired banker and former Perry County treasurer died at his Columbus home. Native of Corning he served as Perry County treasurer 1909 to 1913, later held posts at Citizens State Bank Somerset and People's National Bank New Lexington. He joined the Federal Land Bank in Louisville in 1932 and became a FDIC examiner in 1935, retiring in 1942. Burial will be at New Lexington and funeral services Saturday.
