Giant airliner survives crash after midair collision over Port Washington
A Pan American World Airways Constellation with 33 aboard made a safe emergency landing after a small private Cessna 140 struck its top at 4000 feet over Port Washington New York. The private plane and its two occupants Arthur Cutting and Eugene Kowalczyk were killed while no one aboard the airliner was hurt.
