Vern H. Vorhes 89 of 179 W Washington St Nelsonville died this morning in Mount St Mary Hospital after a week’s illness. A longtime contractor in Nelsonville he built many local brick structures and served as superintendent of the Sylvania Electric Co building. Surviving are daughter Dorothy and Esther Floto of Steubenville a granddaughter and two great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and may be viewed at Warren Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
