Escapees Sought In Cincinnati Area
Two Ohio Penitentiary escapees prompted a search shifting toward Cincinnati after they allegedly forced a suburban Columbus man to drive them. Logan Man Found Guilty Of Taking Sears Batteries

McCoy 25 of 56 S Spring St. found guilty by a Hocking County Common Pleas petit jury of grand larceny for stealing six Sears batteries valued at 94 from the Logan Sears store on November 9. Man Found Guilty For Supplying Beer To Teens
Russell Brooks 21 of 157 Angle Ave. convicted of contributing to the delinquency of three boys aged 13 and 16 after beer was provided in March 1969 on the Laurel Run property of Richard and Juanita Barnhart. Judge Rhea Bangert Brown sentenced him to 90 days with most suspended and a $50 fine plus good behavior, with jail to begin after the baby’s birth. Brooks indicated his wife is expecting and he is laid off from Union Carbide in Marietta.

Trainmen Get 42 Percent Pay Raise Under New Contract
