Ralph John Weakland 52 of Logan Route 3 died on arrival at Mount St. Mary Hospital after a heart attack at the Red Arrow Coal Co office on Route 33S. He had suffered a prior heart ailment since a 25 foot fall from a ramp at the Red Arrow tipple last spring. A native of Carrolltown Pennsylvania he lived in Hocking County four years. He is survived by his wife Edythe a son John two daughters Norma Jane Barnesboro and Mary Elizabeth with the Women s Auxiliary Corps Lockbourne Air Base two sisters Clare Weakland and Anna Grace Voelker and his mother Demetrius Weakland. Funeral service by Leonard will ship the body to Barnesboro for burial.
