Mysterious Cash Donor Delivers Gifts to Chicago Seekers

Chicago police investigate a phantom philanthropist who handed out 650 dollars in eight days in three known cases. Three More Men Seek City Election Petitions

Funeral Services Held For Minette McCray

Funeral services for Miss Minette May McCray 90 Logan’s oldest active businesswoman were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Logan with Rev Earl F Schottke officiating. She died Tuesday morning having run the McCray Insurance Agency since 1916. Three Hurt In Rt. 33 Wreck Near Hocking Athens Line

Three Trimble residents were taken to Mt. St. Mary Hospital after an auto wreck half a mile north of the Hocking Athens County line on Rt. 33. Gail Cox, 19, Ester Cox, 35, and Paul Hupp, 17, suffered injuries from a left side collision after slush blinded Cox while passing a semi. Investigation ongoing.

Waverly Native Admits Slaying in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City police report Otto Austin Loel 44 of Waverly Ohio confessed to the knife slaying of Elizabeth Jeanne Henderson 31 in a local motel. Loel, once among the nations most wanted, was captured Monday at Sanford Florida.

Columbus Atty. Gen. C William ONeill ruled that a board of education cannot spend school funds to back or oppose annexation proposals altering district limits.
