An early morning fire a quarter mile north of New Straitsville consumed a four room frame house owned by Mrs Dora Lang and all contents except a davenport. Children discovered the flames before the Straitsville firemen arrived. Firemen prevented spread to nearby buildings. Last night at nine o’clock another attic fire at the home of William Neal caused about $100 damage.
