Plan Unveiled for Hocking Technical College Campus Expansion

The board reviewed a nine map master plan by Kellam Foley Architects for a new Hocking Technical College campus on Athens Two Road near Rt 33. Phase One includes 88,000 sq ft with labs and classrooms, aiming for 1976 77 completion and 1,500 to 1,800 students by 1979 80 potential growth to 3 000 with adult and transfer programs. Trustees accepted 441 600 from Public Law 90 576 for a health manpower facility and hired Donald Allen as medical records instructor.

Ohio Considers Joining Suit Over Impounded Highway Funds

Ohio may join a federal lawsuit led by Missouri seeking release of 5.5 million dollars from the Highway Trust Fund. Transportation Director J Phillip Richley says the move could mark a first major urban state joining the action. Corona Jury Still Deadlocked in Mass-Murder Trial

After five days of deliberation the Corona jury in Fairfield California moved from 8-4 to 11-1 deadlock. Judge Richard Patton ordered secrecy on the majority. Defense attorney Richard Hawk said the Tuesday announcement suggested 11 jurors favored an innocent verdict for Juan V Corona accused of killing 25 migrant farm workers.
