Logan records third night of sub zero weather

Sub zero temperatures persisted in Logan for the third consecutive night with a low around minus 10. Arctic readings began Monday night and are forecast to end tonight with a 16 to 24 degree low in the Hocking Valley. Snow flurries expected Friday as crews remove snow from streets.

GOP Senators Tie Health Plan To Social Security

Six Republican senators unveiled a public private health plan for Americans 65 and over tying coverage to Social Security funding. It would give 45 days hospital care up to 180 days nursing or 200 days home care financed by a payroll tax increase and would form a federally chartered private insurer pool with a standard policy costing about 2 dollars weekly. Senator Javits led the push with bipartisan hopes, while President Johnson supports the measure and House hearings loom.

Glenn to Seek Ohio Senate Seat in 1964
