Snowy Hocking Valley Schools Open Amid Slick Roads

Nearly three inches of snow blanketed the Hocking Valley as schools mostly opened and buses ran, with road crews salting and plowing since 1:30 a.m. City streets, especially Hilltop near the school area, were cleared by 2:30 a.m. Several districts remained open while others reported transportation delays and late buses due to slick conditions. Temperatures rose to near 50 partly cloudy tonight with mild conditions forecast.

Logan High School: Bomb threat traced to caller, classes continue

A bomb threat reported at about 8 20 a m prompted Logan High School to evacuate briefly before police and administrators cleared the building. Principal Charles Moore said the call came to the Logan police station and appeared to be made by a male caller. Classes continued as investigators checked the school.
