Stewardess Foils Delta Hijack By Slamming Cockpit Door
Delta Airlines flight from Detroit to Miami foiled when stewardess Lynne Sargeant slammed the cockpit door after a shotgun was placed at her stomach. Kenneth Barl McPeek, 31, of Orchard Lake Michigan, was arrested at Miami International Airport after the plane landed. His son was placed in protective custody. Three planes returned to Miami with hijack victims as authorities investigated the incident and the prior weekend hijackings.
