Couple Held For Slaying In Highland County
Mahlon Wisecup aged 49 of Hillsboro and his 21 year old wife were taken into custody in Ashland Kentucky and await return to Highland County for questioning in the slaying of Wisecup’s elderly stepfather Grant Nichols. Nichols body was found under the floor of his cabin after Wisecup allegedly shot him in self defense and later sold cattle and took money. His wife Ruth Whitt reportedly aided in placing the body.
