Seventeen Antioch College students toured Cuba for 14 days with a pro US message. They visited three provinces, saw sugar mills, co operatives, housing projects, schools, and factories. The trip cost 50 to 60 dollars per student and included a New Year’s Eve dinner for 10 000 hosted by Fidel Castro.

Capital Guard Slays Four Then Kills Self in D C Shootout
In Washington a government building guard opened fire injuring four people before killing himself. Victims include John Pledger a Navy building guard and Zelma Pledger his wife.
