John F. Finnearty aged 33 died at 1 34 a m today at Veterans Hospital Dayton after a period of failing health. A World War II veteran, he worked at the Kaiser Aluminum Corp plant near Newark and was a Nelsonville native. He is survived by his wife Effie, three children, eleven sisters and his parents Mr and Mrs William Finnearty of The Plains. The body is to be moved to Leonard Funeral Home with funeral arrangements incomplete.

Seven people including five adults and two children were killed in a head on collision 21 miles east of Lordsburg New Mexico yesterday. Multiple vehicles were involved and authorities investigated the fatal crash.

Six Year Old Boy Bitten By Dog Near Home
Steve O'Brien six year old son of Mr and Mrs Lee O'Brien of 99 S oa St was severely bitten on the upper lip and cheek by a dog at 11 50 am while returning from Central School. He received five stitches at Hocking Valley Hospital. The dog, previously noted as potentially vicious, was chained but broke loose and attacked the child. Hocking County dog warden James Reedy placed the animal in solitary under ten day observation. A second dog was picked up on the Central School playground this week. The warning to keep dogs off city school grounds was reiterated.
