Nelsonville High held Logan to limited scorers as guards Terry Lee and Art Hunley led the Greyhounds with steady scores. Logan’s Buckles and Ellis paced the Chieftains, but rebounding and free throws widened Nelsonville’s edge to 65-50 before a late Logan rally.
The Gallipolis Blue Devils crushed Jackson 81-43 to extend their SEC lead to four straight league wins. Middleport defeated Pomeroy 65-53 and Athens beat Wellston 49-38. Middleport and Athens stand second at 3-1, Nelsonville sits 2-2, while the remaining four teams each have 1-3.
Nelsonville pulled away after a tight first half with a 39-38 lead at halftime. The third period swung momentum as Logan went cold, facing foul trouble and Nelsonville’s scoring burst to seal a 56-47 edge by the end of the third.

Washington reports describe the Eisenhower administration farm program combining a surplus freeze with a flexible price support plan.
