Sheriff Floyd Duffy said his office investigates a reported shooting near South Bloomingville Friday night. Dr C T Grattidge treated an unidentified man for a leg wound who was sent to Hocking Valley Hospital, which later reported no shooting victim admitted. No arrest has been made pending investigation.

South Perry Man Sentenced for Delinquency and Harboring
Forest Hedges of South Perry was fined 25 dollars and costs and sentenced to 30 days in the Hocking County Jail after pleading guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor and harboring a fugitive. The fugitive, his son, had escaped from Orient State Hospital. Sheriff Floyd Duffy said he filed the charges and arrested Hedges last night.
