Clayton W Scheide Sr 76 of 156 E Second St died Sunday at 2 p.m. at his son and daughter in law Amherst D after a period of ill health. A native of Pennsylvania he was a retired oil worker and a Logan Masonic Lodge member. Private funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Leon ard Funeral Frame with Rev Earl F Schottke officiating. Burial followed at Oak Saint Cone Cemetery with memorials by the Logan Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his son a grandchild and a great grandchild.

Mrs Rose Caves Daily News correspondent and her nephew Gene Arbell of Rockbridge Rt 1 reported an astral phenomenon Sunday at about 6 30 p m. The object zig zagged for 30 minutes and shifted colors from iridescent white to gold then red. It was poinsettia shaped when red and appeared as a star at first sight.
