Newark Ohio December 31 authorities filed the slaying of Jane Williams 45 a Cleveland teacher and Ernest Roley 55 a farm hand with double homicide and death by own action. McLaughlin 38 of Willamette Oregon shot and killed himself after a confrontation. Jack Hodson 63 of Ipswich SD wounded seriously. Sheriff Roe Francis said the deaths stemmed from a frustrated courtship and an intruder entered the 10 room estate home. Mary Williams sister narrowly escaped and Mary said McLaughlin was not the killer. The case ties to a prior warning from Mrs. Walter Copeland of Portland Oregon about McLaughlin threatening to kill all if Mary refused him.
