Three injured in car truck collision on Ohio 93N near Vine Street
Hocking sheriff's deputies report a 12 15 p m Thursday collision on Ohio 93N half a mile north of Vine St. injured were three people. Mary J. Smith 52 Logan Rt 5 drove a north bound car attempting a left turn and collided with a southbound pickup driven by David L Shark.

A crash on US 33 about eight miles north of Logan sent Mrs. Smith and Donald Hayborn of Union Furnace to Hocking Valley Community Hospital along with Sharb, all injured. David E. Morrison of Belore also was treated at HVCH. Vehicles were heavily damaged and investigators from the state patrol were reviewing the scene.

Jack Benny Dies After Cancer Fight
Jack Benny, famed comedian known for his frugal persona, died in Beverly Hills at age 80 from pancreatic cancer.
