House Veterans Committee Chair Olin Teague argues higher rates won't help those most in need in small cities and countryside, citing low loan percentages in counties like Pike and Adams. Proposals include trimming red tape and boosting VA lending, potentially adding up to $1 billion for rural borrowers.
