The Logan city school district announces a general information meeting for all teaching staff on Thursday Sept 1 at 9 am in the high school cafeteria. The district will operate elementary schools in Green Marion and Falls Twp this year and the first day of school is Tuesday Sept 6 with early dismissal.

He signed himself into Athens State Hospital for observation after an attempted suicide in New Orleans. Company will not press charges while recovering funds.

Flooded storm sewer drowns two Camden boys

The Associated Press reports new outbreaks of racial violence in Jacksonville Florida amid ongoing tensions over school integration. A fatal shooting occurred when police returned fire at a car carrying two Black men. Bombs and arson caused about 4815 dollars in damage. Two Boys Sought in Slaying of Stepdad in Ohio
