Last Dillinger Crony Found in Illinois Gravel Pit
The last of the Dillinger gang, John Three Fingered Hamilton, was found dead in a shallow grave near an abandoned gravel pit in Kendall County Illinois. A preliminary exam showed three bullets in the body and two missing fingers helped identify him. Federal agents and the Kendall County coroner ordered the inquest and removal to an undertaker.
