The two story frame dwelling of the George Coakley family suffered heavy damage after a tire fire reportedly started under a stairway and spread to the living room. Mrs. Jean Lind Schultheis 65 died Wednesday evening at Hocking Valley Community Hospital after a long illness. Born July 6, 1904 in St Paul Minnesota, she was OSU graduate and long time Washington Daily News advertising staffer. She served as Advertising Woman of the Year in 1982 and held leadership roles in Theta Phi Alpha and club groups. Survived by husband Dayton Schultheis two stepdaughters eight stepgrandchildren four sisters and a brother. Funeral Saturday at St Johns Church with interment Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 7 9 pm and Friday 2 4 and 6 9 pm with Rosary Friday at 6 45 pm.
