Four year old dies from ptomaine poisoning
Evelyna Meyers four year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Otto J Meyers of Front Street died this morning at Cherrington Hospital after a lunch hour illness. She died at 2 30 AM. The child leaves her parents and three brothers. The body will lie in state at Woodard Funeral home and be moved to the Meyers home tomorrow. Short services are expected tomorrow afternoon conducted by Rev Elmer Bliss after which burial will be in St Louis.

Bloodhounds Help Capture Triple Slaying Suspect Thompson
Jens Thompson, a 34 year old farmer and suspect in the Lukes brothers killings, was captured after 12 days eluding a posse in backwoods country 100 miles southeast of Albert Lea. Bloodhounds cornered him as he confessed he planned to shoot it out but surrendered when dogs closed in. The case drew a special district court grand jury and Thompson remained in a county jail cell in notably physical condition.
