The Logan High School band directed by William Gasbarro earned a superior in all four pieces at the state music finals at Capital University. The 53 member ensemble, in Class B-1, was among 22 bands and received praise for tone, balance and interpretation. Four Hurt In Rt. 56 Two Car Wreck Near Laurelville
Four persons were injured in a two car crash on Rt. 56 three percent miles southeast of Laurelville Saturday before midnight. George Ash and James L Meyers drove the cars that sideswiped and caused the Ash vehicle to hit a bridge while Meyers car went off the road and rolled. Victims include William Graham 17 with a broken left leg and bruises, Meyers with a broken left hip and abrasions, Ash with facial cuts, and passenger George Swackhammer with knee and hip injuries. All were taken to Berger Hospital Circleville for treatment.
