Goodyear Initiates Experimental Foam Plant at Lockheed Site
Goodyear Tire plans a pilot plant in Logan at the former Lockheed building to develop polyurethane foam products. The 65,000 square foot facility will lease from Hocking County Community Improvement Corp and house offices, warehousing, and production. Expecting June occupancy, the move will shift staff from quality control, warehousing, shipping, and tooling. The operation will expand Logan employment slightly, with plastics prep and injection molding lines added and output for GE, John Deere, International Harvester, Coca-Cola, and others, notably automotive vent strips.

Man Jailed For Receiving Stolen Goods in Ohio Case
A Nelsonville man Andy McDonald aged 24 was sentenced to six months in Hocking County jail by Juvenile Judge Rhea Bangert Brown after pleading guilty to receiving stolen merchandise from three Haydenville youths tied to auto accessory thefts in the Union Furnace area on April 15.
