The Ohio Department of Liquor Control suspends the D-4 liquor permit of Murray City Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1044 for three violations. Three 70 day suspensions run concurrently from May 11 to July 20 for possession of gambling devices tip ticket machines and for conducting gaming or wagering and sale of malt liquor to a non member on Oct 28 1972.

Logan's Portable Classrooms Get State Clearance
After nearly ten months of delays the Logan city school board received state approval to move students into new portable units. Seventh graders use two classrooms at Hilltop behind the junior-senior high. East elementary moved 120 pupils from gym and locker room quarters to four new portables. Teachers and grades transferred include Mrs Salts, Mrs Helber, Mrs Wells and George Mudrie. Units are self contained with electric heat and air conditioning and a canopy will be built to shelter students moving between buildings. Superintendent Saribalas thanked parents pupils and staff for patience and noted delays stemmed from other agencies' requests and needs.

Logan School Board Rehires 81 Instructors and Sets Summer Program
The Logan school board approved re-employment of 81 teachers, accepted resignations from 11 instructors, and authorized a 1973 summer school. New contracts span one to five years, with several continuing contracts and a 23 day substitute, plus a full-time transportation supervisor. About 339 students are slated for summer courses running June 18 to July 30.

Infant dies on Logan Route 2
Kirk Allen Redding two month old son of Clint and Frances Redding was pronounced dead on arrival at Hocking Valley Community Hospital at 12 20 pm Monday by county coroner Dr Owen F Yaw. Cause of death listed as sudden infant crib death. The family had moved recently from Mt Sterling. Funeral arrangements by Porter Funeral Home Mt Sterling and Heinlein Funeral Home made local arrangements.
