Nelsonville Soldier Rick Anders Dies From Wounds
Pte. Richard Rick Anders, 23, of Nelsonville, died at 4 a.m. Easter Sunday from wounds suffered at Khe Sanh, Vietnam, where he served six weeks with the 1st Air Cavalry Division. He was born in Nelsonville, worked at Logan Clay Products before enlisting in 1967, and is survived by his mother and stepfather John and Frances Gettleson of Nelsonville, his father Russell Anders of Glouster, and a three-year-old daughter Tia. Funeral arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
