In early spring 1833 a Lancaster to Logan road was surveyed leading to stage coach trips between Logan and Lancaster. The walk along Stage Coach Rd from Enterprise to Sugar Grove reveals fossils in Byer sandstone, glacial outwash near the Hocking River, and canal towpath history. Sightings include rusty blackbirds, baldpates, wood ducks, fox sparrows, and a Sugar Grove fire tower near the Fairfield County line.

Stanley Price 66 of Nelsonville Route 2 died about 10 a.m. at Mount St. Mary Hospital after a stroke at his Laurel Run Road home. A former Hocking County highway department employee, he retired two years ago. Survived by wife Velma, son Robert, daughters Fay and Catherine Price of Baltimore, stepdaughter Mrs. Clayton Fosnaugh of Columbus, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
