General Hocking Brick Plant lights second tunnel kiln
Modernization of the Logan plant of General Hocking Brick Co was completed with the lighting of the second tunnel kiln at 9 p.m. The 242 foot kiln, 35 000 bricks daily capacity, will run after reaching production temperature in 10 to 12 days. The upgrade, begun February 1962, will boost capacity and employment and supports a major order from Bowling Green University for a new dormitory.
