The charge was assault with intent to kill with a deadly weapon to wit an automobile Cowie said he now had asked justice of peace Lawson Higgins to place Canaday under a peace bond. The original charge filed in Mayor Sidney Spencer s court alleged Canaday attempted to run down Cowie with his automobile.
