Hocking Board adjusts WH transfers to Laurelville and Logan

The Hocking County School Board held a special session Saturday to adjust West Hocking district transfers to Laurelville and Logan districts. Transfers include Benton Township areas to Logan city district and return of the Denny Drum and Ohio Fuel Gas land to Logan. The board also authorized chief James Frey to seek Title II National Defense Education Act funds for science equipment.

Weather update in Hocking Valley cools after rainfall

Rainfall measured seven tenths of an inch ushers cooler weather into the Hocking Valley. It was 45 degrees under clear skies at 11 a.m. with an overnight low of 35. Scattered frost is forecast tonight, with sunny and warmer weather expected Tuesday.

Westmoreland Says He Has No Comment

SAIGON AP U S and South Vietnamese leaders stayed silent over Johnson bombing curtailment and his exit from the race while GIs voiced joy disbelief and disinterest. Westmoreland’s staff said he would be relieved in July and offered no comment. Thieu Ky Loc declined to comment at Independence Palace as advisers met.
