Northminster residents meet for new district church plan
Nine years ago a Northminster meeting, led by the Ven Archdeacon Lloyd, discussed a new district church. Attendees included Freeman, Bramball, Massey, Pick, Barratt, Stevens, Metcalfe, Skinner, Sweet, Creech, Darbyshire, Major Gowans and many others. Mrs Hall of Sheffield donated 250 for the church fund. a small organ was purchased by Mr Frewin. Major Gowans and G H Bramhall elected churchwardens. Pick Shinar Darbyshire Massey named vestry. Meeting of Hospital Board Dominant Motions and Claims
The Hospital Board discussed a milk quality complaint and considered a committee to investigate. High market prices prompted many former exhibitors to dispose of surplus seed stock at the Alberts Seed Grain Fair. J. H.
