Wellington Council Minutes Begin New Rural Municipality
The Wellington Council held its first meeting of the Rural Municipality of Wellington at Lieyminster on Monday January 4 with members Menzies George Lake Donaldson Campbell McDonald and Secretary Treasurer 8 M Gilbuly presiding. George won reelection as Reeve and Donaldson as Deputy Reeve for six months. Howard Jones was named Secretary Treasurer and Assessor at a salary of 000 plus 10 monthly for office expenses.
