Mrs and Mrs Roy Kothmann attended a golden wedding anniversary celebration for Mer and Mrs Monroe Schanitt in Sepitin last week. They were joined by Mr and Mrs Smitty Johnson of Austin. The Kothmanns then spent the weekend with the Johnsons in Austin.
Oats agrees to assist in special assigned activities and advisory capacity for one year beyond the scholarship. He commits to promoting the program off and on campus and to prioritizing it over other activities. Oats will thrive in poorer soil and colder climates than other grains.
Stacy Hanel received a $200 Kingsland Arts and Crafts Association scholarship presented by president Fdna Cheatham on June 22. The award recognized her arts crafts involvement plus strong school records and community service. She has been active in band Future Homemakers of America Future Teachers of America golf and the Annual Staff. She was named in Who's Who of American Students and earned a Freshman Leadership Scholarship offer from Sul Ross State University for fall 1977.
A correction notes that Mrs. Shirley Crow was omitted in last week's report on Girl Scout Troop 177's Six Flags trip. The story stated the excursion would have been difficult to make without her assistance.
