Gospel singing marks the Apostolic Revival at Faith Tabernacle 405 W Dallas St Llano from Friday June 24 to Sunday July 3. Levangelist Rusty Fletcher and his wife Jamie will lead nightly services sharing their revival experiences with attendees. Gospel music bunts will be sold after each service.
Three Llano students earned Distinguished Student honors at Texas A&M University after meeting a 3.25 GPA during the latest grading period. Recipients include M Lissa Baskin in educational curriculum and instruction, Michael K Baye in economics, and William H Battery in mechanical engineering.
Llano County Courthouse staff honored Judge Moore Johanson and his wife Nina with a surprise 50th wedding anniversary reception in the District Court room on June 14 1977. The couple married June 14 1927 in the Llano County Courthouse and were born one mile apart at Bluffton Texas. They have a son Glen Johanson and wife Peggy.
The Llano Activity Club will sponsor a special Olympics for handicapped children next month at Llano High School Track Yellowjacket Stadium. The event will be held on Saturday July 23 with about five communities represented.
