University Summer Session Not Endangered By Governor’s Veto
Dr. Frederick Eby, UT summer school director, says a $105000 appropriation plus $11500 from the Board of Regents and a vetoed $200000 will not end the 1926 and 1927 summer sessions. He notes expected attendance near 3500 with 500 graduates, a large faculty, and that the program serves working students and accelerates learning statewide. The governor’s veto is not aimed at closing the university but at funding the summer term.
