Up to Jero the total helium output was under 100 cubic feet valued at about 1700 dollars per cubic foot. A 160000 cubic foot shipment was sent to Europe just before the armistice at under 10 cents per cubic foot. Helium, first found on the sun by spectroscopy, is nonflammable and ideal for balloons.
