Beck and Myers badly hurt in York Springs crash
Herbert H. Beck of Lititz and Charles E. Myers, professors, and Mrs Myers were seriously injured when a car driven by W L Nelson struck them at a cross road near York Springs. Beck suffered a fractured skull, brain concussion, and pelvis fracture. Mrs Myers hip and internal injuries. Myers pelvis fracture. all rushed to hospital with grave concern for Mrs Myers.

Auctioneer H T Macker Sells Farms Near Ephrata
On Tuesday auctioneer H T Macker of Ephrata sold John’s 19 acre 42 perch farm one mile west of Ephrata at 421 dollars per acre to George Rintmerman of Hinkletown. Levi Houyer’s 20 acre farm in West Earl township sold for 480 dollars per acre to Geyer Cooper of Talmage.

Al Shenk Harvested Last Tobacco Before Frost
Albert Shenk, owning about fifty acres on three farms, finished harvesting his tobacco before the first killing frost on Tuesday morning. Less than half an acre remains unharvested, small and rusty. He and his workers pushed on until nine o'clock under a bright moon the night before, with many other farmers doing the same to save ripe tobacco and seek good prices amid short crops in other states.
