Married 59 Years Kling Couple Honored at Home
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kling of Lebanon are due to celebrate their fifty ninth year of marriage tomorrow. He is 77, she is 59, with eighteen children born and thirteen living. Kling, a former shoemaker by trade, died in his younger years and served as a Civil War soldier. The couple, Moravian church members, await the return of their wounded grandson Roy Miller from a Baltimore hospital.

George H Ochs a Civil War veteran and longtime resident died Monday after a year of ill health. Born in Lehigh county he worked at Kauffman & Reckler lumber yard and as a railroad repairman. He served nearly four years in Co First Regiment PA Volunteers and was wounded seven times. He leaves a son William of Plainfield and adopted daughter Cora Reidenbach, plus two sisters and four brothers. Funeral Thursday with interment at home. A local committee praises Dr M H Yoder for delaying his military service to aid public health.
