River winds topple fifty year old rose-bush in Warwick
Mrs. Hannah Hull of Orange Street Warwick reports a Sunday night storm felled a large honey suckle rose-bush that had stood in her yard for fifty years. The plant was prized for its blooms and fragrance enjoyed every summer for half a century.

Young man ends his life in barn tragedy local to Penryn
John Fetter twenty is son of Hiram Fetter of Penn township. He hanged himself in a barn after a quarrel with his father while the family was away in Lebanon. Edvin Turomer found the body. neighbors cut it down. Funeral held at White Oak Church with Rev. Hittner officiating. Survived by parents two brothers and sisters. Reckless Driving on Hast Main St Draws Narrow Escape
In a Saturday evening race two young men sped up Hast Main Street about 6 20. A horse and wagon turning near Rudy's hall blocked the street and the driven horses crashed into it. The wagon nearly tipped, women screamed, but no major damage occurred and the drivers fled unrecognized. A prior auto and motorcycle race was similarly unprosecuted. Nearby residents, Atwood Kreider Jay Evans and Ellis Spickler plan a five mile cross country run Thanksgiving day under Lancaster YM C A. Prizes include cups and medals. Birthday greetings are extended today to H L Eschbach Casselton N D H S Kauffman and neighbor H P Fry and Miss Grace Keiler. Theodora Beckler turns 85 Friday. Lemon B Studenroth a Warwick grocer on Front street died Wednesday morning at about 10 uraemia was the cause. He was 64 years old born near Lexington began as a clerk at Brunner ville later worked in Lexington then with Schreiner in 1892 to 1909 before moving to Warwick where he died. Survived by wife Martha Harper a son George two brothers Elizaphar and Addison and sister Mrs Malinda Krick. Funeral Saturday at 2 PM from his house and 2:30 in Lititz Lutheran church with Rev George D Clarke officiating.

Former Lititz Lady Dead After trolley accident injuries
Mrs Catharine Q Conners widow of Patrick Q Conners died Saturday at Lancaster General Hospital from injuries suffered seven weeks earlier when she fell from a trolley car breaking hip and ankle and sustaining internal injuries. She resided in Lancaster about eighteen years and was 67. A Moravian Church member, she had two marriages. children named Abner Hull son, and William O Connors Ella O Donavan and Cora Gardner. Surviving siblings Henry Herman William Diehm and Clara White. Funeral held Tuesday with Greenwood Cemetery interment.

John S. Brenneman, 29, died in Fairfield Ohio on Friday. He was a son of Mrs. Harriet Brenneman and the late Amos Brenneman, born in Rapho township. Retired farmer and well known Stevens resident Jacob E Fry died suddenly on a Tuesday evening at his home. He had been in his usual health until heart pain prompted the fatal attack. He leaves two wives, several children, and brothers and sisters in Lancaster and surrounding towns. Funeral is Sunday at 1 PM at his house and Lutheran church in Lincoln, with Rev. D. L. Fogleman officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Man Run Down by Auto on Lititz Road
Roy Meiskey of this place was badly injured near midnight Saturday when an automobile struck him and several companions as they walked toward Lititz on the Lititz and Rothsville turnpike at Rome. Eyewitnesses say the car aimed at them. Meiskey regained consciousness after two hours with a bruised left leg and possible internal injuries. He was sent home to recover. the car owner is unknown.

Mrs. Harriet Bucher widow of Jacob Bucher died at her home north of Denver aged 67 years 5 months 11 days after two years illness with dropsy. Successful Hunters Report From Bedford County Trip
Frank Spickler and David Voy returned Sunday from a week long gunning trip in Bedford county with 58 rabbits 2 pheasants and several partridges. Partridges are plentiful and locals protect them. They shipped some game home to share with relatives and friends. Willis Marks Jacob Kauffman Clayt White and William Boyer hunted four days near Centreville and bagged 42 rabbits a wild duck and 18 squail.
