Lititz Wins County Basketball Title Over St Joe
Lititz last Thursday defeated St. Joe five 27 to 21 to claim the Lancaster County championship before the largest auditorium crowd. Sponagle led scaffolding with four field goals and five of eight free throws while Weiss added six points as Lititz built an early lead and withstood a St. Joe rally in the second half. Manor High quit the game with seven minutes left, leading to a Lititz 2 to 0 forfeit victory. Lititz later beat Mt Penn and boosted their county standing with strong defense and sharp passing.
