Cheap Trip To Ohio Hiker Returns From Wellsboro
Samuel Shue returned to Lititz this week from a hitch hiking trip to Wellsboro Ohio. He hoped to find work there but reports numerous unemployed persons wherever he went. Sam left with four cents and returned with seven cents. He was picked up at Columbia by Charles Rosenberg and brought here.

Beware of This Stranger in Brickerville Visits Homes
A stranger went to multiple Brickerville families claiming ties to them and saying he lived in the West and lost a railroad ticket. He obtained 320 from one resident and asked about family relations before visiting each home. No further trace of him. A similar report came from near Reamstown.

New Fire Apparatus Fund Grows at Ire Company
A lively meeting of the Ire Company discussed investing five hundred dollars toward a new fire apparatus fund. The Amusement Committee declared the musical a success and credited efforts with bolstering the fund. The Entertainment Committee promised a big announcement for March.
