Storm damages church steeples and farms in Lititz area
A Friday storm slammed through Lititz and surrounding areas causing church steeple damage in Denver Adamstown and Kleinfeltersville along with smashed windows on farms. Lightning struck the Goffler home and a barn killing a horse at the John Wolf farm while several horses fell unconscious but recovered. The Middle Creek corridor from Kleinfeltersville to Hopeland to Clay bore the brunt with depicted flooding from rain.

Molstein Cow Produced Seven Calves in Fifteen Months
Frank Demmy of Route 5 Lancaster owns a Holstein cow that bore seven calves in fifteen months. Four calves arrived in February 1928 and three more in late May. Demmy, who raised the cow from a calf, believes the record cannot be equalled in Pennsylvania. He is the son of Hiram Demmy of Lititz.

Killed Forty Inch Snake at Water Works
Two large snakes were spotted under the borough water works tool shed. One had been killed last week with a rake, measuring forty inches.
