Tie In Baseball Puzzle Contest Tie In Baseball Puzzle Contest
The answers to last week's baseball puzzle are published on page 6 of this issue reprinting the pictures again with correct solution underneath. Among the contestants was one woman. Ellis Butzer acted as judge dividing the first prize between Charles Pfautz of this place and Floyd Weaver of 119 New Street. Each solved eleven correctly and half of the twelfth. Number seven was the sticker. Pfautz said the baseman should not go so far out to take a fly ball but the fielder wore a first baseman's glove. Weaver noted the fielder wore a glove but missed the other detail. The five dollar prize will be divided. Many failed on No 4 and one reader wrongly said the shortstop should take a short bound. The scheme created much interest.
