Lititz Organizes Boy Scout Council to back Lenhard
A Lititz meeting at the Young Men's Business League formed a Boy Scout Council to support Scout Commissioner J. H. Lenhard who organized local troops and may lose his post with school ending. Elected officers include President Joseph B. Wissler and Rev. E. K. Crosland. a wide council and executive committee were named to fund, promote, and extend Scout work with four troops and about 80 members.

Two serious crashes marred a Sunday outing near Lititz as Emanuel Hall’s Ford touring car rolled over north of Clay, pinning its occupants including Mrs. Rachael Roland and Ira Eberly. she suffered scalp lacerations and bruises, while Clarence Burkholder’s Country Club Overland hit a pole south of Andrew Godiners home, damaging the fender and windshield and injuring Elser Gerhart.

John M. Musser of Lincoln died in France from wounds received while fighting for the United States. Famous Veterinary Surgeon Adams Performs Five Operations
Lititz residents witnessed Prof John W Adams of the University of Pennsylvania perform five major veterinary operations at Dr W K Bender & Sons premises last Thursday. About thirty veterinarians attended and learned from Adams as he revealed techniques and discussed cases while performing complex procedures including a neck incision near the brain to remove diseased tissue. All animals recovered well and the clinic closed with a guest repast for attendees and families.
