Laird of Colgate University reported a 24 day trial showing light dairy lunches keep blood flow to the brain in the pink and boost speed by about 6 percent and accuracy by 26 percent after noon meals. Lapses in attention dropped by nearly 70 percent compared with heavier meals, supporting the claim that heavy lunches hinder mental performance.
