Leed Family Reunion Opens Season in Springs Park
The Leed family held the first reunion of the season at Springs Park on Saturday with over 75 attendees despite poor weather. Arthur Leid presided as president with officers reelected and a varied program of hymns, recitations, solos, duets, and readings led by family members. The oldest attendee was John Leed, 80, and a large list of Lititz Rothsville Manheim residents registered. Next year’s gathering moves to Sunday in June at the local park.

Metathesis and Spoonerisms in Language Play
A note explains metathesis as transposing letters or sounds within a word and describes spoonerisms as interchanging elements between two words. It cites a playful example about speakers twisting titles, illustrating the humorous results.
