Teachers And Directors Meet In Lititz Institute Session
An afternoon session opened with the High School Orchestra performing three selections. Discussions covered teacher methods to engage dull pupils, building a positive classroom atmosphere, sensitive use of words, and improving composition teaching. Mr McGinnis spoke on school purpose and agencies, outlining seven virtues for school life. A church dedication in Manheim followed, and a farm hand was arrested for a serious assault on a 15 year old girl. A Nettsville boy helped his father strip tobacco, sizing and sawing twenty five laths.
